ShortlistWise, Terms of Service

This is a placeholder version of these Terms, published for the testing phase of ShortlistWise. It states our working rules honestly but has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel. A reviewed version will replace it before commercial launch, and continued use after that date will be under the reviewed version.

1. Who we are

ShortlistWise is a candidate-screening decision-support tool operated under Caliberly Recruitment Services LLC, Dubai, United Arab Emirates ("we", "us"). During the testing phase, access is limited to invited users.

2. What ShortlistWise is, and is not

ShortlistWise organises the evidence in CVs and job descriptions and highlights what needs verifying. It is decision support. It does not make hiring decisions, and it must not be used as the sole basis for rejecting or selecting a candidate. Human review is required for every hiring decision. You remain fully responsible for your recruitment decisions and for compliance with the employment and data-protection laws that apply to you.

3. Your account

You must provide accurate registration details and keep your sign-in credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Accounts are personal and must not be shared.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to:

• upload only CVs and job descriptions that you are lawfully entitled to process;
• use outputs to inform, never to replace, human judgement;
• not attempt to probe, reverse-engineer, overload or interfere with the service;
• not use the service to discriminate against candidates on any basis protected by applicable law.

5. Plans, allowances and charges

During the testing phase, no payments are collected. Usage allowances shown in the product apply. When paid plans launch, pricing and billing terms will be stated at the point of purchase and in an updated version of these Terms. Nothing in the current version obliges you to pay anything.

6. Your content

CVs, job descriptions and other material you upload remain yours. You grant us the limited licence needed to process them to provide the service, parsing, assessment, storage and display back to you. We do not sell your content and do not use it to provide services to anyone else.

7. Testing-phase data handling

Candidate data uploaded during the testing phase is retained only as long as needed for the mandate it relates to, and is deleted within 14 days of that mandate being closed, or within 60 days of upload, whichever comes first, unless you delete it earlier. See the Privacy Notice for detail.

8. Availability and changes

The service is provided as-is during testing. We may change, suspend or withdraw features while the product is being built. We will not deliberately remove your access to work you have saved without notice.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for hiring outcomes, lost profits, or indirect losses arising from use of the service. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. During the free testing phase, our total liability is limited to AED 1,000.

10. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time and may ask us to delete your account and data. We may suspend accounts that breach these Terms, with notice where practicable.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction.
